Winning a lottery is rare but sharing the lottery price is even rarer. This is what 86 year old grandma Marion Forrest has done. She decided to split her lottery price with the cashier who encouraged her to buy a lottery ticket last week. Her kind gesture is winning the hearts of thousands on the internet these days.
Grandma Forrest visited her nearby convenience store, Duke’s Mini Mark last week like always when Walter, the cashier at the store, convinced her to buy the lottery ticket. The lottery had a huge price of $500,000 so Walter told her to give it a shot. At first, she was hesitating. It was his insistence that motivated the elderly to get one. While buying she also made a promise to Walter if she wins she will take care of him. Although she didn’t win the grand prize, she did win the $300 prize.
After winning a prize from Fantasy 5 lotto ticket, the elderly did not stop instead kept her promise which she made while buying the ticket. So, she went to the store with an envelope with half the lottery amount of $150 inside along with a couple of balloons that had his name on them. Walter was surprised and moved at the same time by her kind gesture.
Heidi Forrest who’s Marion Forrest’s granddaughter was recording this entire event. She later posted the video of Granny and Walter on Instagram which has now gone viral. In the video, granny can be seen saying ‘he is the sweetest guy in the world’. Meanwhile, people present in the store can be seen cheering for them.
The video captioned as “My heart. Marrion Forrest is one of a kind” is truly winning the hearts not just on Instagram but other platforms too. Commenting on video a user called it ‘inspirational’ whereas other users remarked it as the ‘content they want to see’ especially in these times. Next, another user remarked her gesture as the cutest thing still the list doesn’t end here.
