Jade Goody’s eldest son has revealed why he doesn’t remember his deceased mother. And the reason he gave for not missing his mother is very sad.
Their mother Jade died from cervical cancer when she was 27 years old, leaving Bobby Goody and Freddie Brazier at just the age of five and four.
Bobby, now 18, has devastatingly revealed how the iconic Big Brother star’s public image is all he has left of his late mother.
“I don’t feel like I’ve missed out on motherhood. For me, it’s just another day in the office,” says the model in a recent interview with The Face.
“I’ve spent more time without her than I spent with her,” he says. “I don’t miss Jade,” the boy replied, his voice quivering. “Because I don’t believe I spent enough time with her to miss her.”
According to Bobby, Jade and his family were very unlucky. “I miss what might have been,” he murmured. “I hear her described all the time as a force and as one-of-a-kind. What saddens me most is that it wasn’t just about losing anyone; it was about losing Jade. ”
“I just wish I could’ve seen what everyone else had seen,” she pensively stated.
Bobby, who resides with father Jeff Brazier, step mum Kate Dwyer, and younger brother Freddie, is currently contemplating whether to take the plunge into celebrity as his modeling career develops.
The youngster, who has a striking resemblance to his late mother, has modeled for major names like Dolce and Gabbana and is fast becoming a star in the business.
Jade and Jeff were blessed with Bobby in June 2003, only a year after the late pop culture icon became famous in the Big Brother house at the age of 21.
They separated from each other in 2004. But before that, the on-off pair had a second son, Freddie, who was four at the time.
Jade, a fantastic mother and wife, tragically died on Mother’s Day in March 2009, following an incredible fight against cervical cancer.
Jade was taking part in the Indian version of the reality TV show when she got a call from her consultant, who informed her that she had cancer – having previously experienced symptoms such as bleeding and pains in her leg.
