Britney Spears has revealed her future plans after her 13-year conservatorship. Last Friday, the conservatorship of Britney Spears was ended following a decision from Los Angeles court judge Brenda Penny.
Now, Britney Spears has revealed to her fans what she wants to do with her newly granted liberty. Spears said her fans are asking how she would proceed with her life after the end of the conservatorship.
The pop star said so in a self-filmed video that she posted to Instagram yesterday. She said 13 years of conservatorship is a long time and especially when a person doesn’t want to be in a conservatorship.
So I’m just grateful for each day, and being able to have the keys to my automobile and be independent, feel like a woman, and having an ATM card so I can see money for the first time, buy candles.
“It’s amazing because you get all of these little things, but it makes a huge difference for us ladies. I’m grateful for that. It’s great.”
Britney Spears added she doesn’t want to become a victim. She said she already had spent her childhood with victims. It was the reason why she left her house and worked for 20 years to build her own identity.
Aside from enjoying the simple things in life, Spears also mentioned that she has other goals on her mind—including advocating for people who may be trapped in a similar circumstance as she was.
She says that she’s there to be a champion for those who truly have impairments and illnesses. “Hopefully, my experience will have an impact and cause change in the corrupt system.”
In her video, she thanked her fans for running the #FreeBritney movement which received huge attention from the public.
