Following up on a series of statements urging her social media fans to pray, Spears then went into why prayer is such an important aspect of her life.
She wrote she has some issues and she is not perfect. So, she has to remind everyone to remind herself she is not alone.
Britney Spears added she lost her connection with God a few years ago. And she encountered a lot of hurt from every angle and her family also start hurting her.
“I was in a daze, and the only way I could survive was to be in pretend denial,” she said.
Spears explained, “It was too much to deal with,” before adding that it eventually came full circle again, and her heart “took over” and she became a lion.
“I’m not a very nice lion,” she remarked. “But I kept all that suffering to myself.” She went on.
“They say that you should go to the core for healing … someone who has inflicted pain on you,” she added. “I’ve never had the opportunity to do so,” she said.
I went with the phony denial “everything’s fine” approach since I didn’t want to cause an argument, Britney Spears said.
Spears said she had asked to be able to perform fresh songs in addition to remakes of her previous songs for the last 13 years and was always denied.
“The world has no idea what I’ve been through,” Spears told, adding that she’s “afraid of people and the business.”
She added she wanted to share her story because I understand the agony of not believing anymore and feeling so isolated, as well as the conceit of the world testing your faith.
Britney Spears said the last year was full of growth for her. She said she still has ways to go and achieve her goals by facing things she is fearful of.
Also, the pop star said she is not a superwoman but she knows what keeps her happy. That’s why she tries to focus on places and thoughts that allow her to experience happiness.
“I obviously have serious insecurities,” she continued. “Otherwise, I wouldn’t have acted like an obnoxious 8-year-old last week, defending myself with my accomplishments,” she stated sarcastically, accompanied by a rolling eye and laughing cat emoji.
Spears was pointing to a social media post in which she showed a few clips from some of her greatest accomplishments.
Spears said she is too insecure and she cares a lot so the best way for her to deal with her insecurities is praying consistently.
Her original statement read, “A bottle of champagne is always appreciated,” but she removed the alcohol mention after re-sharing it.
In November, a judge ruled to terminate Spears’ conservatorship, which had been in place for over 13 years.
