Jacqueline Jossa confesses she was compelled to sell her house when she was struggling with money after her exit from EastEnders in 2018.
In a very honest chat, the former soap star, 29, who played Lauren Branning on the BBC fictional drama, shared her money problems.
On The Sam and Billie Show podcast, Dani told host Sam and Billie Faiers that she wasn’t “ashamed or embarrassed” to discuss her problems with fans.

After leaving EastEnders almost four years ago, Jacqueline had a significant shock as she lost her regular income and was forced to sell her house before going into the I’m A Celeb jungle in 2019.
“You’re correct about the hustle,” she continued. “I spent eight years on EastEnders, where you get a fixed weekly payment.
It was a set amount of money, and I didn’t have to do anything else. It was my security blanket; it was all I knew. Then it vanished.
“I’m not aware of anything resembling maternity leave. I had to go and work magazine covers because there was no such thing as maternity pay, so I needed to make money to feed my children.”
“Once you’re gone, when you’re not on the show, you don’t have money,” the TV star said. “Done! You aren’t paid anything else.”
“I’m afraid I’ll have to conduct a shoot,” she adds. “Why are you selling your soul?” they ask. I’m feeding my children, so it’s not the same thing. I’m not embarrassed or ashamed.
“There have been times when I didn’t have money. Prior to going into the jungle, I was having difficulties with money. My home had to be sold.”
