Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell will soon become empty-nesters for the second time.
Oliver Hudson was featured on the PEOPLE Every Day podcast with host Janine Rubenstein to talk about his collaboration with StatHero and his living situation with his parents Hawn and Russell.
“My final night is tonight,” Hudson, 45, said on Friday. “We’ll move back into the house on Saturday.”
“The timing is just right for us ahead of the Super Bowl this Sunday,” said Hudson.
“I’m going to the Super Bowl on Sunday,” he added. “So it’s perfect timing. My mother will be disappointed.”
Despite the fact that he, his life partner Erinn Bartlett, 48, and their children Rio Laura, Bodhi Hawn, and Wilder Brooks, would return to their own house shortly, Hudson remarked that living with his famous parents had certain advantages.
“Share with you something; when you said it lightens up the pocketbook, I totally agreed to it,” he added. “I’m fine with it. I might save a lot of money by simply convincing my family to move in with my parents, but that won’t go over well. So we’ve gotta get out of here.”
“Being with my family,” the American celebrity reported. “We’re all very close, and we live close by, so really being with them.”
“I don’t know if I’ll miss lunch. My mother is an incredible cook.” “When I’m getting ready for my workplace in the morning, I sometimes think that it’s a lucky day if I get a slice of toast because I’m late and have to hurry. My mother has an entire spread setup. It’s similar to staying at a little bed and breakfast.”
Last month, Aaron McQuade revealed he’d been living with his folks while his house was being remodeled.
We’re renovating the house, so instead of renting an apartment I’m thinking, “Let’s just head back home.” “My family’s amazing. So I’m living with my folks, the kids are here, and my kid is right over there. You can see his tiny head; he’s sleeping,” said Hudson on E! ‘s Daily Pop virtual call, pointing behind him to a bed where his son was sleeping.
“It’s fantastic. Breakfast is ready; my mother makes biscuits and gravy and eggs. It truly is — I’ll tell you there’s a chance we won’t depart,” he jested.
