Singer Zayn Malik has posted his first social media update since the drama with ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid and her mother, Yolanda Hadid, which erupted in October.
On November 11, Zayn Malik uploaded a photo on his Instagram which captioned, “DROPHEAD. @arnette #zaynarnette #ad.”
Malik was sitting in the shade with his arms folded while wearing sunglasses and a black turtleneck in this photo.
On October 24, the former One Direction member uploaded his Instagram photo. He responded to a claimed fight with Yolanda, 57, on Twitter four days later in a lengthy statement on Twitter.
On October 28, he wrote that he is a private person and he aims to create a safe, secure, and private space for his daughter [Khai] to help her grow well.
He said he wants to create a space for a private family where family matters aren’t discussed openly on the world stage.
He said he agreed not to contest allegations resulting from an altercation with a family member of his partner’s who entered our home while his partner was away several weeks ago in order to safeguard that space for her.
Malik stated that “it was and continues to be a private issue,” since he sought to protect Khai, who he welcomed with Gigi, 26, in September 2020.
He also stated, however, that he was “hopeful” that there would be “healing for everyone who has suffered due to the harsh words shared.”
“I strongly deny striking Yolanda Hadid and I refuse to give any more details for the sake of my daughter,” Malik added in a statement to TMZ. “I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and seek to resolve these family problems in privacy.”
Yolanda Hadid is yet to break her silence on the incident which took place in Pennsylvania on September 29. In spite of his denials, Malik was indicated in four counts of harassment.
He was sentenced to 90 days in jail for each of his four convictions, to be served concurrently (360 days in total) with a year of probation and directed to participate in an anger management course and a domestic violence program.
Malik must also refrain from contacting Yolanda, the security guard who was on site that day, or any witnesses.
According to an anonymous source, Zayn Malik and Gigi had ended their relationship. Now, they will only conversate on custody matters.
Malik’s relationship with his ex’s mom Yolanda is very bad and they have many severe issues with one another.
