Matrix girl Carrie-Anne Moss recently revealed how she loves Indian food and feels a deep connection with Indian culture. She also expressed her wish to explore more of it.
Speaking to a leading daily in a video call from New York, she expressed, “I have a deep desire to go to India. I have been to the country once, but it was a very tiny visit. Now, I have a deep desire to go deeply into India and (explore and) have that experience.”
The actress also stated how India’s culture fascinates her and how she looks for her “comfort food” regularly.
The 54-year-old added, “I mean, it is kind of shallow, but my most creature comfort food is Indian food. If I’m feeling like I need nourishment, or I feel like I need to feel cozy and I want to feel like in my heart more, then I make Indian food or order Indian food. I just love it. There’s something about it for me. Nothing is better than Indian food for me.”
Moss was born in Canada and started her career as a model. She starred in many films and television before landing a role in the Matrix series. After the mega-billion film brought her fame, she grabbed hit projects like Jessica Jones, Pompeii, Frankenstein.
While talking about the fourth chapter of The Matrix series, Moss revealed that her life experience over these years will help her bring “breathing-life” to the character, “Since then, we have grown and evolved a lot. We (her and her co-star Keanu Reeves) have definitely evolved. We have grown old, become more mature, attained a larger world view, and have life experiences, which we can offer to the role while breathing life to the character.”
The Matrix Resurrection also stars Keanu Reeves who has recently spoken about working with Moss. He stated, “It’s so special and such a pleasure to work with Carrie-Anne and really to partner up, to be that kind of single element, but the duality of the characters being this one thing in their love.”
He continued, “It’s such a pleasure to play the connection that Thomas Anderson and Trinity have, and she’s an exceptional artist, a righteous soul. It was a real pleasure to work together again.”
While talking about the new talents, he said, “It was really cool just to be working with artists who had such affection and enthusiasm for the project, and then to work with them and to experience all of their extraordinary, talented commitment. It’s a real pleasure.”
The Matrix Resurrection is a sci-fi film directed by Lana Wachowski. It is the fourth film of the series and a sequel to The Matrix Revolutions. The film also features, Priyanka Chopra, Purab Kohli, Jessica Henwick, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Neil Patrick Harris, Jonathan Groff, among others.
