Potterheads get teary-eyed as HBO Max drops Return to Hogwarts trailer

HBO max earlier shared a picture of Daniel Radcliff, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint having a chat in Hogwarts' Gryffindor common room, calling it "Like they never left"

Seems like yesterday when the first Harry Potter movie was released, and it has already been two decades. The Harry Potter cast is reuniting to mark the 20th anniversary of the first film.

Recently, HBO Max dropped the trailer of Return to Hogwarts as fans demanded, “Accio, Trailer”. HBO earlier announced that the whole cast is returning together to reminisce old memories and to feed the Potterheads a few doses of ‘magical moments’ potion.

Earlier, the streaming platform also shared a picture of the power trio, Daniel Radcliff, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, where they were seen sitting and having a chat in Hogwarts’ Gryffindor common room. It captions the picture, “Like they never left”.

And, yes, it is a big deal for the Harry Potter nerds. Potterheads have been waiting for a moment like this since they witnessed the departure of the last Hogwarts Express on the big screen.

Fans are going gaga over the recent trailer where Emma Watson aka Hermione Granger will be seen taking steps into the 9 ¾ to take the Hogwarts express. Daniel Radcliff aka Harry Potter will be seen roaming through the Diagon Alley and greeting his friends inside the Great Hall of Hogwarts. Rupert Grint aka Ron Weasley will be seen saying how perfect the time is “to sit down and reminisce” the good old days!

Emma Watson will also be seen hugging Tom Felton, who played the role of Draco Malfoy, and Mark William, who played the role of Mr. Weasley.

Emma was heard sharing her thoughts, “It feels like no time has passed and loads of time has passed.”

After which Radcliff continued, “The thing that scared me the most was the implication that the most meaningful thing in our life was done,” he concluded, “And there’s something so joyous about seeing everyone and being like, it wasn’t though.”

Emma also expressed, “When things get really dark, and times are really hard, there’s something about Harry Potter that makes life richer,” the other two and the fans couldn’t agree more!

Grint said, “It’s a strong bond that we’ll always have”. He added, “We’re family, We’ll always be part of each other’s lives.”

The reunion will air on New Year’s day and it will include Ralph Fiennes aka Voldemort, Helena Bonham Carter aka Bellatrix Lestrange, Robbie Coltrane aka Hagrid, Mark Williams aka Arthur Weasley, James and Oliver Phelps aka George and Fred Weasley, Gary Oldman aka Sirius Black, Matthew Lewis aka Neville Longbottom, Bonnie Wright aka Ginny Weasley, Jason Isaac aka Lucius Malfoy, Alfred Enoch aka Dean Thomas, Evans Lynch aka Luna Lovegood. Other than this golden cast, the directors of the series, David Heyman, Alfonso Cuaron, Chris Columbus, David Yates, Mike Newell, will also be seen making appearances.

Return to Hogwarts is the reunion to celebrate the release of the first film, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, which hit theatres on November 14, 2001. The Harry Potter series is based on the novels written by the author J.K. Rowling.
