It’s not the first time when Epic Games is going to offer free games to gaming enthusiasts. The popular video game company has been doing giveaways for a long while. Although there were some doubts around whether the company will proceed with the same this year or not. But now a recent blog post has cleared all those doubts.
According to Epic Games, they are going to offer some of the most amazing games for free just like Control, Civilization VI, and many more. In their annual Epic Games Store Year In Review, the company has revealed a series of statistics. Epic quoted that their PC customers crossed 194 million last year where the platform got 34 million more users than in 2020. In 2021, customers spent over $840 million last year. However, there were also a large number of customers who didn’t spend anything at all.
Around 765 million free games were claimed from 89 titles last year. On the other hand, this data cannot be assumed as a good sign or neither a bad one. Every year, Valve, another video gaming giant, releases their data but this year hasn’t been released yet. So, it will be a hurry to come to any conclusion.
Later in their annual review, Epic mentioned that they are once again going to bring weekly free games for everyone. Not just that, but they are also going to work on new updates as well improvements in the present gaming interface. Right now, they are working on improving features like voice chats, speed, accuracy, and so on. They are focused on polishing their community-driven features too.
Epic’s free games have become their trademark among gaming buffs. Each week Epic brings some new games and most importantly free games. Free exciting games every week keep gamers eager all the time. However, these games last only a week before they are replaced with new ones resulting in a limited time for players to claim them. Similarly, this week’s free game is Daemon X Machina and it can be claimed till the 3rd of next month through Epic Games Store.
