Roblox has been Down Since Friday Night due to an Internal Issue

An internal error has led to an outage for Roblox and thus it affects its working completely

Roblox, a well-known gaming app and platform, has been down since Friday night. Earlier, experts assumed the malfunctioning occurred due to an external attack.

But later, it was confirmed by the company that the outage happened due to an internal issue. Moreover, it stated it is carrying out the vital maintenance work to keep it functional again.

On Friday night, the firm tweeted to apologize for the outage and went on to say that it was not connected to any particular events or partnerships on the site.

Because some gamers began to believe that the outage was linked to a recent partnership between Roblox and the popular American fast-food chain, Chipotle, Roblox had to tweet this clarification.

As part of its annual Halloween celebration in the game, which began just before the Roblox outage, the chain is providing away $1 million (just under Rs. 7.5 crores) worth of free burritos.

After beginning from Friday, Roblox didn’t see any improvement and remained down till Sunday. After that, the company informed about identifying the actual issue and said it is working to fix it with immediate effect.

“We’re working to have Roblox back up and running as soon as possible,” the company tweeted.

Roblox is still experiencing outages, according to the service’s status page, with a “Major Player Drop,” though the most recent update indicates that it has discovered the problem.

Roblox is a popular online gaming platform with millions of users worldwide, including children and teenagers. According to Statista, in Q2 2021, Roblox had 43.2 million users.
