The New LG 16:18 Monitor has a Look that Screams Multitasking Capability - Poxolo.com

The New LG 16:18 Monitor has a Look that Screams Multitasking Capability

LG's new 16:18 monitor is capable of multitasking and it has a new 32-inch 4K UltraFine display.

LG has announced the launch of its new monitor which is capable of multitasking. It is a new format monitor in the market. Known as DualUp, it has a 16:18 aspect ratio.

The company claims it offers users the same screen real estate as two 21.5-inch displays. Also, its vertical split view function allows users to see more portions at a single glance.

The DualUp (model 28MQ780) has a resolution of 2560×2880 and a brightness rating of 300 nits, which corresponds to a coverage of 98 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

It can be attached to LG’s included Ergo stand that clamps to “most” desks and tables to save space.

Aside from the productivity and creative benefits offered by this form factor, LG claims that the double-height display “reduces side-to-side head movements, which is the major cause of neck discomfort.”

If you’re not a fan of having many displays in your working space, this gadget should make multitasking easier while still monitoring Slack, Microsoft Teams, and other chat apps.

It’s a fantastic editing machine that looks like a dream for video editors, as the marketing images imply.

The DualUp isn’t yet available for purchase, but it isn’t the only new display that LG is debuting today. It has also got the 4K 32-inch UltraFine display.

LG has introduced its “first Nano IPS Black Panel” in it. And its display can give “realistic and nuanced black tones.

The UltraFine can give a little more brightness than the DualUp with 400 nits. As compared to the conventional display, it has a 2000:1 contrast ratio in comparison to the 1,000:1.

The LG G8’s display includes a self-calibration sensor to ensure that you’re getting accurate color tones when editing pictures, video, or designing logos.

LG’s newest displays include two HDMI ports, one upstream USB-C port (for your PC), and two downstream USB-C ports, but they aren’t Thunderbolt connectors.

External devices, such as laptops, can be charged using USB power delivery at up to 96 watts. More information on both devices will be presented during LG’s virtual CES 2022 presentation on January 4th, according to the firm.

LG has already aired a slew of pre-show news, including a battery-powered TV that can be rolled about the house and a new soundbar with an upward-firing center channel designed to improve speech intelligibility.
