Whatsapp is a renowned application for sharing conversations, pictures, and videos with contacts. Recently, it had added one new feature in which a person can give and receive payments too. Online payment applications have slowly picked in India and the leading ones are Paytm and GooglePay, which were originally named “Tez”. In the primary years, both of these apps used the methods of paying cashback to the users and it worked well.
Whatsapp is using the same method to attract the attention of the users who are already using the application and thus, promises to pay 51 rs on the first four payments through the app.
There are 390 million users of Whatsapp in India only and if even if half of them would register to the online payment features, it will be beneficial to the owner for the long term.
As of now, there is no limit in the transaction or any deadline as to which the users shall transfer the money, that means, if one sends even 1rs through Whatsapp Payment, they might receive a cashback of 51rs for the first four successful payments.
The cashback offer is only valid for the android versions. The app shows a “Give cash, get Rs 51 back” banner, as shown in reports.
