The sound of a tight slap of Will Smith to Chris Rock doesn’t seem to cease. Will Smith offered his public apology to Chris Rock via his Instagram account for slapping him on stage at the Oscars.
It appears that they have not confronted each other to resolve the issue and talk about the incident.
“I haven’t spoken to anybody, despite what you may have heard,” Rock stated during the second show from his Ego Death World Tour at Boston’s Wilbur Theater on Wednesday night. We’ve attempted to contact Smith’s representatives for comment.
Rock didn’t exactly address the fight on stage after Smith stormed the stage and slapped him over a joke he had made about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, at the Academy Awards earlier this week during his performance.
Rock reportedly stated that his daughter didn’t get into her first choice institution, which was the true bummer of last week, eliciting laughs from the crowd.
In his Best Actor acceptance speech on Sunday, Smith apologized to the Academy and his fellow nominees but not to Rock. Smith apologized to Rock for his actions in a lengthy Instagram post on Monday. Rock had stayed quiet throughout the affair until tonight.
