Elisabeth Finch, a Consulting Producer on ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ is taking a Personal Leave

Elisabeth Finch, a consulting producer on Grey's Anatomy has decided to take a personal leave. She has taken the decision citing her medical and personal history.

On ABC TV’s Grey’s Anatomy, another huge departure occurs. Elisabeth Finch, consultant producer, who is under investigation due to her medical and personal history, is going on personal leave.

“I will always remain a fan of the tv show Grey’s Anatomy,” according to a statement given to Deadline.

“Since season 11, I’ve been lucky enough to work on the show. The finest moment of my career was watching women who had been raped receive the episode “Silent All These Years.” Grey’s Anatomy is a kind, brilliant family. I’m aware that it will be difficult to take a break right now, but I also understand that my family and health come first. I’m overjoyed that I was able to finish the book, and I’d like to thank Disney, ABC, and Shondaland for allowing me to do so and for supporting me throughout this difficult time.”

The Ankler recently investigated Finch’s medical history and some of her prior claims, including her diagnosis with a rare type of bone cancer, the loss of a kidney and part of her leg but being misdiagnosed, and the treatment she received from both men and women during her writing for The Vampire Diaries.

Lavely & Singer, a Los Angeles-based law firm that represents Finch, stated that she would not discuss her personal health concerns.

“She will not, for example, discuss her impending divorce from estranged wife Jennifer Beyer or address any statements that Ms. Beyer may have made to third parties about her.”

Finch is an experienced freelance writer who has written for publications like Elle, The Hollywood Reporter, and the Shondaland website by sharing her personal medical experiences.

She is best recognized for her role as Assistant Manager of the True Blood set and also appeared in Vampire Diaries, No Ordinary Family, and True Blood. She joined Grey’s Anatomy in 2015.
