For All Mankind star, Jodi Balfour, is going to be a cast member in the third season of Apple TV+’s series, Ted Lasso. She is set to be the first known cast member for the third season of the Emmy awarded comedy series.
Jack, a charming venture capitalist, will be played by Balfour. She joins the returning series regular cast, which includes Hannah Waddingham, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Phil Dunster, and Nick Mohammed.
Bill Lawrence, Joe Kelly, and Brendan Hunt created the series, which features Sudeikis as Ted Lasso, a small-time college football coach from Kansas hired to lead a professional soccer team in England despite having no prior experience coaching soccer.
The season 2 finale of the TV show saw a shocking twist in which Mohammed’s Assistant Coach character Nate.
Sudeikis also executive produces, alongside Lawrence through his Doozer Productions, which is produced in collaboration with Warner Bros.
Hunt, Kelly, and Bill Wrubel also contribute as producers. Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer are the executive producers for Doozer.
Besides, Jane Becker and Jamie Lee will also serve as executive producers. On the other hand, Brett Goldstein will serve as a writer and co-executive producer.
Ted Lasso received seven Emmy Awards, including Best Comedy Series, in 2021 with a record-breaking 20 Emmy nominations.
Another Apple TV+ series, space drama For All Mankind, stars Balfour as Ellen.
In addition to her acting career, she has pursued a successful business career. She is perhaps best known for playing Jackie Kennedy on The Crown and as Joni in Cinemax’s Quarry. She also appeared in the Canadian drama series Bomb Girls, for which she won a Canadian Screen Award for Best Actress.
Balfour has also featured in the BBC/Cinemax limited series Rellik, as well as recurring on HBO’s True Detective season three.
