The Fosters star Teri Polo has become part of the NCIS season 19 cast. And she will be seen as Alden Parker’s ex-wife.
In 1986, Polo started her acting journey by playing a role in the American soap opera, Loving. After that, she appeared in many successful projects over the years such as Northern Exposure, Felicity, and The West Wing.
More importantly, she is best remembered for her role, Pam Focker, in the Ben Stiller-dominated movie trilogy, Meet the Parents.
Polos appeared in well-received TV crime dramas throughout the 2000s, including two separate appearances on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, a part on Law & Order: LA, and an episode of CSI: Miami.
According to Deadline, Polo will extend her resume with an upcoming endeavor on NCIS. The actress will make her NCIS debut in the season 19 finale before recurring for next year’s season 20.
She’ll be playing Vivian Kolchak, a former FBI agent turned paranormal investigator. Kolchak is the ex-wife of Special Agent Alden Parker, who is played by Gary Cole.
The cast of NCIS also includes Sean Murray, Wilmer Valderrama, Katrina Law, David McCallum, Rocky Carroll, and more.
The NCIS season 19 finale will air in May, with the 20th season likely to begin in September.
The long-running series has seen several adjustments throughout its 19 seasons, with original star Mark Harmon leaving in the fourth episode.
However, the inclusion of Parker’s ex-wife may provide season 19 with some NCIS flair owing to the fact that Harmon’s Leroy Jethro Gibbs was notorious for his previous spouses.
It’ll be interesting to see how NCIS adds a new perspective to this well-known tale.
