This year, China’s space station had two “close encounters” with Starlink satellites, according to Beijing.
The allegations made in the complaints, which were submitted to the UN’s space agency, have not yet been confirmed. Mr Musk’s SpaceX operates the Starlink satellite internet network.

Mr Musk, Starlink, and the US were severely condemned on China’s Twitter-like Weibo microblogging service after allegations against them went public.
Starlink’s satellites were described as “just a bunch of space trash” by one user.
Others claimed that the satellites were “American space warfare weapons” and “Musk is a new ‘weapon’ developed by the US government and military.”
“The dangers of Starlink are being gradually exposed, and the entire human race will have to pay for its commercial activity,” said one user.
The Chinese government blamed the US of putting astronauts in danger by disregarding obligations under space treaties.
The Chinese government’s top diplomat urged the United States to act responsibly and cautiously, according to the state media.
Researchers have expressed concerns about the dangers of space collisions and urged world governments to communicate information on the estimated 30,000 satellites and other space debris that orbit Earth.
Elon Musk’s SpaceX has already sent almost 1900 satellites into space as part of the Starlink network, and thousands more will be launched.
The US space agency has delayed a spacewalk from the International Space Station owing to fears about space debris.
