Leonardo DiCaprio, 47, confirmed that he was compelled to plunge into freezing water to save his two dogs, who had fallen in without warning. The accident occurred on the set of his current film, Don’t Look Up.<\/p>\n

Leonardo was filming a disaster comedy when tragedy truly hit, forcing the Oscar winner to save the huskies after one nearly drowned.<\/p>\n

Following the cast’s comments to Entertainment Weekly<\/a>‘s Around the Table, in which he said what occurred and that both dogs, Jack and Jill, were now safe and well, it was revealed.<\/p>\n

The concept for the film was inspired by director Adam McKay’s recollection of “absurd stories” from the set.<\/p>\n

“Gotta tell the frozen lake tale,” he urged Leonardo. “Leo has these two rescue huskies that are nothing short of tornadoes!”<\/p>\n

The dogs were labeled “psycho” by the actor’s co-star, Jennifer Lawrence. “Full as the Joker, they thrive in total mayhem, ” said Johan Hill.<\/p>\n

His coworkers encouraged him to talk about those heart-stopping events, and he began telling them. Jennifer completed the narrative for him because he was unable to complete it on his own.<\/p>\n

“One of the dogs fell into the icy lake, and he dived in to save it,” she summed up.<\/p>\n

“And then when he pushed the first dog out of the pond, the second one dived in.”<\/p>\n

“The first one started licking the one that was drowning, and then we all were in the frozen lake together,” Leo Chuckled.<\/p>\n

He claimed that because he lives in California, his Los Angeles-based huskies were unfamiliar with the idea of a frozen lake.<\/p>\n

In 2020, he took on two snow dogs with his partner Camila Morrone, which includes an additional husky named Sally.<\/p>\n

After speaking out about being “driven crazy” by Leo and Timoth\u00e9e Chamalet while filming a scene for the movie, Jennifer added fuel to the fire.<\/p>\n

Jennifer also made a guest appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert<\/a>, where she had the audience howling with stories from the set.<\/p>\n
