The live-action Halo television series on Paramount Plus has been renewed for a second season just days before the first season is scheduled to premiere.<\/p>\n

The second season will be written and directed by David Wiener (who has worked on programs such as Fear the Walking Dead, Homecoming, and Brave New World), according to a news release.<\/p>\n

The name change was confirmed during an investor presentation, where Viacom CBS<\/a> announced that it would be changing its name to Paramount in order to focus on streaming.<\/p>\n

Early renewal for season two may entice wary viewers who recall Netflix’s live-action Cowboy Bebop, which was suddenly called off shortly after the first season aired.<\/p>\n

The live-action Halo, which was first announced in 2018 as a Showtime series before becoming a Paramount Plus exclusive, has already gone through a lengthy development phase.<\/p>\n
