Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers have split up. A source close to Rodgers tells the People Magazine, the NFL star and the actress, who were engaged for over a year before breaking up recently, have split.
“It was a mutual parting; it just wasn’t working,” the insider explains. “It’s very different people with hectic lives and there were things they couldn’t overcome.” They will maintain their amiable relationship; there is no bad blood or drama. It wasn’t meant to be for them.”
A spokesperson for Woodley had not responded as of press time. A representative for Rodgers denied having any knowledge of the situation, stating, “I’m aware of [the story] and I’m reaching out.” InTouch was the first to break the story.
When it was revealed that he had tested positive for the coronavirus in November 2021, several people accused him of lying about his vaccination status, giving rise to speculation that their relationship was on the rocks.
On asked whether or not he has taken the jab, he had received the COVID-19 vaccination in August 2021, he declared that he was “immunized.”
However, on the Pat McAfee Show on Nov. 5, Rodgers revealed that he had not been immunized. In that same month, Woodley refuted “disparaging” claims about Rodgers.
Woodley gave confirmation for their engagement on The Tonight Show in late February 2021, joking that she never thought she’d marry someone who “throws balls for a job.”
Then, in March of last year, Aaron Rodgers boasted about how pleased he was with Woodley.
“I’m engaged and have been enjoying that part of my life lately,” he added. “That’s the best thing that happened to me in the last year,” she says, relieved.
They appeared together for the first time after the announcement of their engagement in late March, going out to dinner with friends in Arkansas. After that, they were seen on their most PDA-packed outing as a couple at Walt Disney World.
Many were caught off guard by the news of their relationship, which came as a surprise to many since Rodgers and Woodley’s low-key relationship flourished in their isolation bubble during the height of the COVID-19 epidemic.
However, as the world expanded and his NFL season neared, they were rarely seen together.
She said, “There’s no wedding planning [or] anything. There’s no need for a rush.” In an August 2021 interview with Entertainment Tonight, she added.
In August 2021, however, he told Haute Living that they were taking a break from one another.
“It’s a stressful work week for her, therefore it may be a good time to focus on our job. I believe it will be beneficial.”
“Her job was shut down for a year and she’s booked several projects. She likes working and having her own routine, which I also enjoy.”
Last year, a source claimed that the pair “often agree to disagree” on matters where they didn’t see eye to eye.
They aren’t talking about their political views, and they haven’t for a long time, according to our source.
“There was a lot of disagreement between them. They decided to agree to disagree about things and not argue about them early on.”
