According to a Report, ‘Fast and Loose,’ which stars Will Smith, has been delayed by Netflix

Netflix has reportedly put the movie, 'Fast and Loose', starring Will Smith on hold. Also, 'Bad Boys 4' starring Smith has also been delayed.

As per the latest reports, David Leitch has been withdrawn from the next Netflix movie, starring Will Smith. This news surfaced a week before the Oscars.

Leitch dropped out of the Netflix picture and took on a role in a Universal film with Ryan Reynolds called “Fall Guy” that’s set to premiere later this year, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

According to the outlet, Netflix attempted to enlist another director for the film, but after the 2022 Oscars events, the streaming service shelved “Fast and Loose.”

Meanwhile, “Bad Boys 4” from Sony has been in development for months, with Smith receiving a 40-page script just before the Academy Awards, but the production has been delayed and some movies still in post-production will be doing the same.

Chris Rock-Will Smith’s slapping incident is the reason behind this event. After the Oscars 2022, Will Smith offered his resignation from the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Smith announced his retirement on Friday, saying that he has “betrayed the confidence of the Academy.”

“I have responded to the Academy’s disciplinary hearing notification, and I will accept any and all punishments for my actions. My conduct at the 1994 Academy Awards ceremony was improper, distressing, and indefensible.”

“The list of individuals I’ve hurt extends far and includes Chris, his family, a number of my close friends and loved ones, as well as everyone in the audience and worldwide television audiences at home,” Smith added.

Will Smith also added that he spoiled the chance for people of the show to celebrate. And he also expressed his willingness to accept any impending consequences from the Board.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has accepted Smith’s resignation, according to a statement from Academy president David Rubin, who added that it will pursue disciplinary action against Smith.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has accepted and received Mr. Will Smith’s immediate resignation. The Academy Board of Directors will move ahead with its disciplinary procedures against Mr. Smith for breaches of the Academy’s Standards of Conduct, he added.
