Actor Alec Baldwin has mistakenly killed a photography director and killed a movie director. He fired a prop gun on a movie set which resulted in this devastating incident in New Mexico.
Police in the US state the actor fired a prop fun while shooting for the 19th Century Western Rust.
A woman succumbed to her injuries and the main, the movie director, was gravely injured. The incident was caused by a prop gun that misfired with blanks.
A crew member was killed on the set of the film. The victim has been identified as Halyna Hutchins, 42, who served as the movie’s director of photography. Joel Souza, 48, the feature’s director, is the person being treated.
Police are still looking into the situation at Bonanza Creek Ranch, a popular filming location, and no charges have been filed.
The Santa Fe County sheriff’s office said Mr. Baldwin had spoken with cops, according to a news release from AFP.
“The Spokesman” reports that Mr. Baldwin was escorted out of the building by an officer after completing his interviews. He arrived at the FBI office on his own and departed on his own after he completed his interview.”
Ms Hutchins was born and raised in Ukraine on a military base near the Arctic Circle, according to her personal website. She studied journalism in Kyiv and film in Los Angeles and was dubbed a “rising star” by the American Cinematographer magazine in 2019.
She was the director of photography for Archenemy, an action film directed by Adam Egypt Mortimer in 2020.
“It makes me so upset to lose Halyna. And I’m furious that this could happen on a movie set,” Mortimer added in a tweet.
