At the 2022 Screen Actors Guild Awards, five invited film ensemble members will present films from their nominated projects, which was announced on Wednesday.
The stars from Focus Features’ Belfast, Daniel Durant, Emilia Jones, Troy Kotsur and Marlee Matlin of CODA; Cate Blanchett, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tyler Perry from Netflix’s Don’t Look Up; Lady Gaga and Jared Leto of MGM/UA’s House of Gucci; and Aunjanue Ellis, etc.
The 28th Screen Actors Guild Awards will be broadcast live on TNT and TBS from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica on Sunday, Feb. 27. For the first time, HBO Max will offer Westworld on demand the next day.
The ceremony will be opened by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Daveed Diggs, and Leslie Odom Jr. of the Broadway smash hit Hamilton.
The 57th SAG Life Achievement Award will be presented to five-time SAG Award and Oscar-winning actress Helen Mirren by Kate Winslet.
Alexandra Daddario, Rosario Dawson, Ross Butler, and Vanessa Hudgens are among the presenters for the new series. More stars will be revealed in the coming weeks.
In addition to their nominations for outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture, King Richard’s Smith and Lady Gaga from House of Gucci were recognized for their leading roles, while Belfast’s Balfe, CODA’s Kotsur, and House of Gucci’s Leto were nominated in the supporting categories.
In addition, Blanchett was nominated for a supporting actor nom in Fox Searchlight’s Nightmare Alley.
