After Collaborating with Girlfriend Taylor Swift on a song, Joe Alwyn Discusses his Songwriting Future

Taylor Swift's boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, has discussed his songwriting future with his girlfriend. They have previously worked together on a number of songs from Taylor Swift's albums.

Taylor Swift’s fans are ecstatic about Joe Alwyn’s new project. The 31-year-old English actor has already worked with girlfriend Taylor Swift on several hit tunes from her Folklore and Evermore albums, and the fact that they’ve collaborated thrilled Swift’s legion of followers.

However, Alwyn appears to be rather focused on his acting profession – which may be one of the reasons why he used a pen-name to compose the songs.

Alwyn recently spoke with Elle about his new Hulu series Conversations with Friends, and he gave a fairly firm answer regarding whether or not he’d be pursuing songwriting in the future.

“It’s not a strategy of mine,” Alwyn responded, bluntly shutting down the prospect of his or Bowery’s name appearing on any records in the next few years.

Given that Alwyn and Swift have kept their relationship relatively under wraps, and out of the light, it’s been something of a tall order for the songstress, given her status as one of the most-watched and widely reported-on celebrities on Earth.

In an Elle UK profile, Alwyn spoke about their relationship and their decision to try and stay out of the public eye and media crucible as much as possible.

Alwyn assisted Swift in co-writing “Champagne Problems,” “Coney Island,” and “Evermore” on Evermore, and they previously collaborated on “Betty” and “Exile” on Folklore.

In December 2020, the music celebrity revealed that she and Alwyn had been dating for a few months and shared a mutual affinity for tearjerkers.
