Brad Pitt is suing Angelina Jolie for allegedly selling her stake in Château Miraval behind his back, according to reports.
Angelina Jolie sold her share in the winery to a third party without Brad’s knowledge or consent, according to his complaint. In October 2021, he claims to have discovered the transaction.
In response, Jolie claimed that Pitt had tried to take money that he didn’t earn and break their initial agreement.
The Eternals star supposedly quit making payments on the Château Miraval loan in 2013, but the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor kept investing.
He even claimed that he spent time on the winery, making it the first time since they bought it in 2008 that it was profitable.
They purchased Château Miraval for $25 million, with Pitt and Jolie putting up 60% and 40% of the money. Pitt is seeking the invalidation of Jolie’s sale and compensation.
“This is yet another example of the same person violating her legal and ethical obligations,” a source connected with the situation tells Us.
“By doing so, she has breached the rights of the company’s only investor, who poured money and effort into it by claiming to sell both the firm and family home to a third-party competitor. She is after a return on an investment that she did not create and revenue that she did not generate.”
In September 2021, Pitt filed a lawsuit against Jolie and her business partners, claiming that they were attempting to eliminate him from a lucrative sale of Château Miraval shares.
She handed over her interest in the winery and wine label to the estate. The Moneyball actor will still be involved with the company, according to an October 2021 news release.
The exes married at a French castle in August 2014, but their tumultuous breakup got caught up in the drama when she filed for divorce two years later.

Despite all of the public squabbling, Pitt is still hoping for a second chance with Jolie. “Brad hopes that one day he and Angelina will be able to forgive each other and move on for the kids’ sake if nothing else,” an insider told Us in December 2021. “He despises everything about the conflict.
