Jim Carrey Mocked the "Spineless" Audience and said he Would Sue Smith for $200 Million - Poxolo.com

Jim Carrey Mocked the “Spineless” Audience and said he Would Sue Smith for $200 Million

JIM CARREY has spoken about the moment Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars on Sunday, stating that he "would have sued" the star for $200 million the next morning.

Hollywood actor Jim Carrey said if he had been the one slapped by Will Smith at the Oscars, he would have sued the King Richard actor for $200 million.

Jim, 60, launched a blistering verbal assault on Will Smith in a recent interview, branding the Men in Black star a “f*ckin’ fraud,” among other things. The crowd’s “standing ovation” of the star has also drawn criticism from many viewers.

Following the slap, Will was given the prestigious award of Best Actor for his portrayal of King Richard in King Richard.

He went on to receive a continuous round of ovations from his fellow actors and the Oscars audience after the announcement.

However, Jim, who starred in the The Truman Show, slammed the audience’s cheers that came just minutes after Will smacked comic Chris for making remarks about Jada’s baldness.

“I was sickened,” Jim said following the moment. “It felt to me that Hollywood is just spineless as a whole, and it really felt like this was a clear indication that we’re no longer the cool gang.”

The celebrity went on to say what he would have done if Will had slapped him, adding that Will “didn’t have the authority” to strike the comedian.

“I would have announced today that I was going to sue Will for $200 million because the video will be there forever, it’ll be everywhere,” Jim Carrey continued. “That abuse will last a long time.”

However, there has been no response from Chris yet on the matter. However, it is said that he is not pursuing charges against the actor.

“I don’t agree with that,” Jim added. “If you want to scream from the crowd and disapprove, or if you see something on Twitter that makes you angry, you do not have the right to walk up on stage and sock someone in the face because they said words.”

After it was reported that the scenario “got out of hand,” Jim said how he believes Will Smith is “annoyed.”

“It didn’t go from zero to 100,” he added. “Will has been through something or had a conflict within himself that’s made him irritable,”
