Lucy Mecklenburgh and Ryan Thomas are overjoyed to disclose the sex of their baby ahead of Time

In the spring, Lucy Mecklenburgh and Ryan Thomas will become parents to a newborn. In March 2020, the former Coronation Street actor and ex TOWIE star welcomed son Roman.

Ryan Thomas and Lucy Mecklenburgh are expecting their second child. Ryan is the proud father of two children: Roman, two, and Scarlett, 13, from his previous marriage to soap celebrity Tina O’Brien.

They have announced that they are expecting a daughter before their new baby’s Spring due date, far ahead of the birth.

“Our baby girl is coming in late spring – we’re counting down the days,” Lucy, 30, told Hello! magazine.

Lucy and Ryan, who are expecting their first child, have a long list of potential names for their new arrival but will not choose one until after the kid is born.

“When we found out we were having a boy, we decided on Roman as soon as possible,” she said. I recall that we looked at a list and both indicated to the same name.

“But we have a list of 15 names this time. We may just have to wait until she arrives,” she giggles. “Nothing compares to the thrill of holding your newborn for the first time.”

After bonding with Scarlett during her pregnancy, Lucy is ecstatic to have a daughter, as she recently revealed that she wanted a mini-me.

According to a source close to the situation, “Ryan has a son and a daughter, so he isn’t concerned about sex. Lucy, on the other hand, desires another girl in the family after being a stepmother to Scarlett.”

In November, Lucy revealed her pregnancy with a cute photo of her and Roman.

The little Roman looked up at his mother as she pulled her T-shirt over her belly to reveal her growing bump, and he also began tugging on his jumper.

“Here we go again,” she captioned the adorable photo, tagging Ryan, 37, on Instagram.

She even posted a snap photograph of Roman with his sonogram showing him looking delighted for the camera.

“There’s more communication, but less unpredictability. It’s different – life is a little smoother now that I’m a mother,” she said in an interview with The Sun.”

It’s a new dynamic, but it’s just as special, if not more so. We’ve developed into an excellent team. It’s difficult [to make time for each other], but we’re working on it.

“On our first night out after Roman was born, we just sat there going: ‘What the hell do we have to talk about?’ because we were both living through lockdown and our entire life revolved around Roman so we began talking about him.”
