Melinda Gates reveals Bill Gates' realtionship with Jeffrey Episton led to their split.

Melinda Gates has revealed the reason for her divorce from her ex-husband, Bill Gates. She has expressed that Bill Gates’ relationship with Jeffrey Epstein contributed to their divorce.

The Moment of Life author, 57, said during an interview with CBS Mornings, she didn’t like Bill’s meetings with Jeffrey Epstein. Moreover, Melinda said she expressed stern opposition and clarification about this subject.

In May 2021, Bill and Melinda Gates announced their divorce. Later that month, The Wall Street Journal claimed that Bill Gates had been having an affair with a Microsoft employee for years, which started back in 2000.

A source later stated that there was a relationship “nearly 20 years ago,” which “ended amicably.”

During her conversation, Melinda revealed that the affair was not the sole cause for their divorce after 27 years of marriage. The death of Epstein, which occurred about a year apart, were but one point of contention between the former spouses.

When the Texas native was asked if she had ever met the convicted sex offender, she responded, “exactly one time” so that she could get a feel for him.

“I felt terrible as soon as I walked through the door,” she said on CBS Mornings.

“He was a truly terrible individual. He was the incarnation of evil. I had bad dreams about him after it happened, and for weeks afterward I couldn’t sleep. But the worst part is that no one deserves to be treated like that!”

Bill’s former housekeeper, who offers a different account than Bill claims, said that after she informed him of Melinda’s concerns, King asked if he continued to see Epstein.

In a statement to CBS, Bill Gates said he now regrets spending time with Epstein, who was found guilty of soliciting sex from a minor in 2008.

The tech billionaire began meeting with Jeffrey Epstein in 2011, according to a 2019 article from The New York Times, three years after his conviction.

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation cochairs first announced their divorce in 2021, with rumors swirling that one of the Kappa Alpha Theta sisters had alerted her spouse about working with the disgraced businessman.

On Thursday, Melinda said that she and her ex-husband are no longer “friends,” but they are still “friendly” with each other.
