Selena Gomez’s Mother Mandy Teefey Exposes her Battle with Deadly Disease and Shuts Down Body Shamers

Selena Gomez's mom Mandy Teefey put a full stop on body shamers by revealing her battle with a deadly disease.

Mandy Teefey, Selena Gomez’s mother, has given an important message and defended herself strongly against body shamers. She revealed her near-fatal illness was the reason for her excess body weight.

She said she was in no mood to discuss this but the Entrepreneur cover showing comments on her weight compelled her to speak. Mandy Teefey wrote an Instagram post showing a screenshot of a message from a person regarding a weight loss program.

Mandy has revealed that her weight loss was the consequence of a long and tough battle with double pneumonia, stating that she and Selena shot the Entrepreneur cover only three and a half weeks after being discharged from the hospital.

“I was told I had a few days to live,” she recalled. “I had wonderful Drs and the love of my family and friends to help me see it through. I battled on.”

Mandy expressed she was able to fight a tough battle only with the support of her doctors. She said she had gained 60lbs and inflammation due to infection.

The cover story was connected to Teefey’s new mental health media company, WonderMind. Daniella Pierson, Gomez, and Teefey created it.

While Teefey was still recuperating from double pneumonia, which means she had both of her lungs infected, she “never gave up” on keeping her promises to WonderMind.

She went on, “I’m healthy and will work on myself at my own speed.” “It’s a miracle that I’m still alive and unamused by the fact that it implies I’m a 16 instead of an 8. Thank you to everyone who has followed me this far.”
