Simu Liu’s early days and life, educational qualifications

Simu Liu was born in Harbin city in China. Until the age of 5, he lived with his grandparents in Harbin. His parents decided to immigrate to Canada. Simu was raised in Mississauga, Ontario, and eventually attended the University of Toronto Schools. He went for higher studies at Ivey Business School, University of Western Ontario where he graduated with honors back in 2011. After graduating Simu worked as an accountant for some time at Deloitte. Unfortunately, he was not happy with his job so he was laid off. This is when he decided to make a career switch. He chooses acting as well as stunt work.

He was a stuntman in movies as well as music videos. It includes Avicii’s I could be the one and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (2014). He also appeared in the popular action thriller Nikita in 2012. 

During 2015 and 2018, Simu got an offer to work in Blood and Water as well as Kim’s Convenience as a recurring character. The actor’s past Reddit posts sparked controversies after the release of the popular marvel movie, Shang Chi. He was called out as racist by some fans. It is not clear but a fan dug out his past Reddit post where he has said that he is all about gender equality but feels girls aren’t as good at sports. Many other past posts divided his fans. A similar instance happened with him over his past tweets. With fame, he got fans who were scanning his past profiles and posts and criticizing him. He was labeled as past racist and sexist by some of his fans. In the past, the actor had shared his opinions which he may not have now but people were still trolling him. In his defense, he tweeted where he said that human mentalities evolve and it’s part of growth.
