“Black-ish” star Anthony Anderson Praised it as One of his “Proudest Moments,” and the Cast Called it a Wrap

After the series conclusion of "Black-ish," star Marcus Scribner wrote, "We're feeling rather grateful for this family we've built."

Anthony Anderson and the other cast members of Black-ish are saying goodbye to their popular sitcom which spanned eight seasons.

In honor of the TV show’s end, Anderson, his onscreen wife Tracee Ellis Ross and several other cast members penned heartfelt tributes on Twitter and Instagram.

On the episode, she revealed that it will be her final ever episode. “Tonight is the end of an era that has had such a big influence on not just my life… but also on the lives of my Co-stars, the crew at ABC, workers and crew,” she wrote beside a clip from the show.

“The Guts” star went on to praise the program, saying, “what this show has done and shown for the culture and African American families… will never be forgotten by society.

“I am extremely grateful… and thoroughly delighted,” he continued. “Emotions range from jubilation to sadness, and more! #Blackish is a monumental moment in my life… It truly and genuinely will be one of my most proudest moments.”

In a heartfelt tribute before the finale, Lindsay hosted a compilation of clips from her time on set with her co-stars.

Jennifer Lewis, who played grandmother Ruby Johnson on the ABC comedy, uploaded a video of her “grandbabies” dancing on set and a video of her singing good-bye to the program.

“I think a little of me has seeped into all those eight years. I’m going to miss my grandkids. @blackishabc” Lewis included next to the first video.
