Dancing With the Stars competition is getting more interesting and fierce. Week seven of the reality TV show saw the pairs dancing two distinct routines the first time.
Moreover, the celebration of Queen’s music was seen and many people struggled this week.
Amanda Kloots and Alan Bersten opened the episode, and despite their efforts at jive, the judges deemed it a little unpolished.
“It’s beginning to feel mechanical when you dance,” said Carrie Ann Inaba. “You have to surprise us if you want to win. … There was a lift in there somewhere.”
“I’m not here to be flawless,” Corbin responded. “I’m here to grow and improve.”
Olivia Jade Giannulli and Val Chmerkovskiy had a tough week in rehearsals. They did an extremely hard routine. It was something that the judges really liked.
“You didn’t miss a beat,” said Derek Hough following their quickstep. I’m just so thrilled with you.”
Carrie Ann said that the influencer was able to put grace into even the most rock and roll quickstep. The number 10 landed them their first 10 of the season.
Suni Lee and Sasha Farber had a tough week, as she became ill and was forced to leave the stage right away after their Paso double. However, she was able to rejoin the dance for the second performance of the night.
The teams remained in the studio until all of the pairs had performed their routines, when it was time for them to compete for additional bonus points from the judges through relay teams.
The Miz and Witney Carson, Iman Shumpert and Daniella Karagach, and Cody Rigsby and Cheryl Burke were the first four contestants.
All the contestants danced to “Crazy Little Thing Called Love.” Iman earned a bonus point for Carrie Ann and Derek, while Cody received one for Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli.
Then, JoJo Siwa, Jenna Johnson, Olivia and Val, and Jimmie Allen and Emma Slater performed a foxtrot to “Under Pressure.” All four judges gave their points to Olivia.
In the concluding round, Amanda and Alan, Suni and Sasha, Melora Hardin and Artem Chigvintsev performed the Viennese waltz to “We Are The Champions.”
Carrie Ann climbed to the table after performing her routine because she was so nervous before giving Suni a bonus point.
Len and Bruno’s points went to Melora. Derek’s points went to Amanda.
The judges were astonished to see that JoJo and Jenna were in the bottom two with The Miz and Witney. In the end, they saved JoJo and Jenna.
