The passing of Nightbirde has elicited a plethora of responses from the celebrity community. America’s Got Talent released a statement to Us on her death, writing, “Your voice, your story, and your message have impacted millions. Nightbirde will always be a member of the AGT family.”

The songwriter’s family also confirmed the musician’s death, stating that she died after a four-year battle with cancer. She’s best known for her performance on America’s Got Talent, during which she sang “It’s OK” and inspired millions of people all over the world with her messages of faith and never giving up.

Her friends and acquaintances adored her larger-than-life personality and sense of humor. She had a hilarious joke for every scenario, even if it was on her part.

Her legacy will be the gift of hope she provided to so many people through her music and the strength she gained in Jesus. We thank everyone for their kind words of encouragement.”

TMZ reports that Jane Marczewski died on Sunday, February 20.

On Monday, February 21, actor and writer Terry Crews released a statement via Instagram: “We are sorry to hear of the death of @_nightbirde.”

“Her nearest family and friends send their condolences during such a difficult time. We miss you, Nightbirde.”

When she appeared on the NBC series in 2021, America’s Got Talent viewers were introduced to Nightbirde.

At the time, the singer spoke about being diagnosed with cancer in her lungs, spine, and liver, stating that she had a two percent chance of surviving but not zero percent.

After receiving Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer, Nightbirde announced that she was withdrawing from the competition to focus on her health. After competing on the show, she described how it felt to continue watching America’s Got Talent season finale after having to stop her participation.

After receiving such a large amount of support from fans, Nightbirde stated that it was “quite overwhelming” a month later.

“It’s like the highest of highs and the lowest of lows in life happening at the same time with all this playing out in front of millions of people,” Nightbirde, who performed her original song “It’s OK” on the program, told CNN. It’s a lot to handle, but it’s incredible.

“Pain may be a blessing since it pushes you to delve more deeply into your soul and the world around you. Sometimes, in order to excavate gold, you must dig deep. “I’ve been doing that, and I’m really satisfied with the work I’m doing and my voice is getting there,” she added.

“I’ve been working so hard lately that I ended up feeling like dying from exhaustion, but today I felt fantastic and sang for a long time without stopping because it’s not to 100 percent, but I’m just so happy to be singing and can’t stop smiling.”
