The real-life Rose family’s extravagant home from popular Canadian Sitcom, Schitt’s Creek has been put on sale at $17.7 million in the real estate market.
The series’s makers Eugene and Dan Levy, both father and son duo, introduced Schitt’s Creek to the audience in 2015. The show follows the prosperous Rose family which goes bankrupt and loses all of its assets except a small town named Schitt’s Creek. Eugene Levy aka Johnny Rose, Catherine O’Hara aka Moira Rose (Johnny’s wife), Dan Levy aka David Rose (son), and Annie Murphy aka Alexis Rose (daughter) were left with no choice but to move on with a fresh lifestyle at Rosebud Motel. Eventually, the family grows and starts relishing their new lives as well as Schitt’s Creek’s residents.
Schitt’s Creek aired on CBN Network between 2015 and 2020. It lasted for 6 seasons with a total of 80 episodes since the creators wanted the story to stick to its core. By the end of the sixth season, the family parted ways. Moira and Johnny move to California. Alexis goes to New York whereas David marries Patrick and continues to live at Schitt’s Creek. The show has won Screen Actors Guild Awards, Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series, and many more for its outstanding storyline.
Recently, California-based media hub, TheWrap reported the sale of the ‘La Belle Maison’ (original mansion) from Schitt’s Creek at US$17.7 million and C$21.88 million. La Belle Maison comprises one banquet hall, wine cellar, golf simulator, movie theatre, parking area, 12 bedrooms, 2 swimming pools, and 16 bathrooms. From vibrant chandeliers to marble stairs and flooring, the La Belle Maison is surely no less.
However, this listing is not something new for Schitt’s Creek locale as the popular Rosebud Motel from the series was also put on sale for $1.6 million last year. With the selling of Schitt’s Creek sets, some fans find it startling yet nostalgic while some still hope for more of their favorite Rose Family.
